SYNOPSIS

Gu Nuan is the step-daughter of the Gu family. She finds out that her boyfriend was having an affair with her younger step-sister, Gu Ling, and her mom was pushed down the stairs by her step-father with the intention to murder. She then vows to seize back everything that belongs to her. At this moment, Wenren Zhen appears and propose a contract marriage, promising to solve all her problems if she were to agree. On the surface, it seems like Gu Nuan got the better deal out of this contract as she is able to use this opportunity to take revenge on the Gu family. We decided to do something different and chose a vertical drama to sub this time. Vertical dramas are pretty popular in China due to the immense popularity of apps like Douyin (抖音; known internationally as TikTok) and Kuaishou (快手). This particular one is produced by MangoTV (home of dramas such as: Intense Love, Begin Again and Perfect And Casual), so there is still a certain standard in quality despite its low budget. Enjoy!
